Advantages: Delicious, refreshing, can have it hot or cold
Disadvantages: HIGH in sugar.
I discovered Whittards Instant teas when at a friends house and am now basically hooked. Dreamtime is one of my favourites.
It is a mix of Honey, Apricot and Vanilla. It is a very soothing and comforting drink, ideal when you want to relax. The taste is unique from any other teas I have tried. It can be served hot which is perfect for winter evenings, or you can also have it cold which I find is quite refreshing. I would recommend making it hot and making it cool down slightly or completely so that the tea properly dissolves. In the summer you could also pop a couple of ice cubes in it! It doesn't have 'a strong tea' taste to it, I don't like herbal or fruity teas usually but this is a lot sweeter.
Whittards sell these for £5 or 3 for £12, which can seem a bit pricey but as I mention in my review of Whittards itself, you get a lot of tea for your money so it is well worth it, especially as it such high quality.
The problem with the tea is it is high in sugar and I normally drink all sugar-free drinks, so I try to cut down on it and only have it occasionally.
Whittards usually have a couple of teas available to taste in their stores so you can try before you buy, which is great.
Summary: It's fantastic, but watch out for the tooth fairy!

- 17/06/09 I love this one too, I find that using half the recommended amount still gives you flavour without too much sweetness! Rebecca Xx |
