... supermarket & Off licence, bars & clubs you should expect to pay more. PACKAGING: The 275ml bottles closely ressemble beer bottles such as bud weiser, and have the WKD running down the side, and generally due to the colour of the drink it is quite a visually appealing drink. Advertising: The advertising is something i dislike about the product, and the reason for this is that its quite sexist, and leads you to believe that the drink is solely for male drinkers whilst other sources will state otherwise wh...more

Premium Review WKD Blue: Please don't drink it anything other than cold. (683 words)

...Introduction... I like to try different drinks and came across this drink about five years ago when I was out at the pub. I had heard that it was considered a girly drink as it is an alcopop but I don't subscribe to that notion so I bought a bottle and it was cold and I quite liked it. Regarding it being "girly" I think it can be only if you drink a lot in one night and nothing else. It may suprise the people who call it a girly drink that WKD Blue is most popular with young males. Anyway Here is my review of WKD Blue. ...The Bottle... As you can see from the picture WKD drinks are in a standard drinks bottle that you will ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Touch your Wicked Side (759 words)

First off I'll just point out that I am in no way trying to encourage anyone to go get blootered! Drink responsibly!! Alcopops are, for me, a godsend. I despise beers, lagers and wines. Lucky for me, I grew up when these things were readily available. Yay! Starting with the stats, theres 275ML (approx) in every bottle and 1.4 units of alcohol in every 275ML giving us a grand total of 5% alcomaholalol! Thankfully this information is printed in the back of every bottle in a rather easy to read fashion. So if you're wanting to be more concious of what your drinking you can count it all up. The name is a bit of an annoyance for me because ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review WKD Blue: WKD blue all around (642 words)

"Drink, mate?" "Aye! I'll have one!" " "What you want?" "I'll have a WKD Blue!" "What?? You great Nancy boy!!! You should be drinking a man's drink!!!" How many times did I hear that conversation when I used to work in a pub?!?! Somehow, people (OK! Men!) associate alcopops with being a "girls" drink. If it isn't made with hops or apples it's not "manly". Well, I say "Cobblers!" People drink beer because they like the taste, right? I like the taste of Ribena but I'm screwed if I'm going drink 10 pints of it in a night! People drink to get drunk. It's a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Have you got a "WKD" side? (455 words)
by - written on 15/10/07 (Very useful, 1072 readings)
Rating:

WKD Original Vodka is a brand of alcopop which is part of the RTD (ready to drink) market and is extremely popular in the United Kingdom. In 2006 it was placed number 2 in the RTD Market. The name is pronounced "wicked", however, when the drink was revamped, the logo was changed to "WKD" although many drinkers still refer to it as the original name… "wicked". WKD was born in Scotland and launched in August 1996 and is still as popular today, if not more. You can purchase these bottles in either 275mls or 700mls. Generally, the 275ml bottles are sold in shops and pubs and the 700ml bottles are sold in supermarkets such as Asda etc. The 275ml ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review WKD Blue: Well and truly smurfed! (544 words)

Well and truly smurfed... The place was Scotland the year was 1996. A magical creation was born - a blue 'wicked' alcopop. One I am unable to resist in 'any' public house! ...Taste... So sugary, I was once told the delightful WKDBLUE contains three times as many calories as a MacDonalds Big Mac. No wonder my numerous attempts at weight loss are always unsuccessful! The taste I believe is described by wkd as 'a refreshingly different flavor tenderly combined with vodka'. To be quite honest I'm struggling to find the right words to express the flavor, fruity - actually depending on the temperature of the drink can actually make a huge ...  Read the complete review
