...Introduction...

I like to try different drinks and came across this drink about five years ago when I was out at the pub. I had heard that it was considered a girly drink as it is an alcopop but I don't subscribe to that notion so I bought a bottle and it was cold and I quite liked it. Regarding it being "girly" I think it can be only if you drink a lot in one night and nothing else. It may suprise the people who call it a girly drink that WKD Blue is most popular with young males. Anyway Here is my review of WKD Blue.

...The Bottle...

As you can see from the picture WKD drinks are in a standard drinks bottle that you will see with beer and other drinks like WKD in. The size of the bottle is 275ml but you can pick up a larger bottle which contains 700mls of the stuff in supermarkets and off licences but not of course in pubs and clubs where they will only have the smaller 275ml one. WKD is 5% abv.

...WKD Blue...

WKD Blue is a flavoured Vodka drink which is a nice blue colour as you would expect from the title as it is not blue like a porn film. This is a fruity vodka drink which contains a strong Blueberry flavour it also has a slight bubblegum taste. That gives me a thought, They should make blueberry vodka bubblegum. I'm sure you would get lots of kids saying "mum mum can I have some bubblegum"if that was the case.

The taste is quite sweet which you will feel when you take the first sip but it does calm down once you drink more of it and get used to the sweetness of the drink. The blueberry is a nice change to the normal fruit flavours in drinks. I must warn you that you must drnk this cold otherwise you will get a horrible taste and not quite a nice one like you get if you drink it cold.

...Overall...

This is quite an alright tasting drink when it is cold but when it isnt cold but room temperature it is horrible and makes your teeth feel strange. If you like cocktails try making your own with WKD and you may just find a nice mix. Not my favourite alcoholic drink but I tend to drink it if I have been dancing or I am just hot. It is quite refreshing if it is cold.

Summary: WKD Blue, not girly.
