I really like trying new ciders. It started when I discovered my love for Magners, and since then, I have tried as many different ciders as possible. If I ever see one sat on the shelf in Tesco, or on tap at the pub then I try it. Some of the time, this means I find a shitty horrible dry cider, like Savana Dry, most of the time, I find one that is passable, and not unpleasant. Occasionally however, I find something amazing, like Scrumpy. So, when I saw that WKD were releasing their own Cider, known as WKD Apple Core cider, I thought it was my duty to try it. Knowing the ghastly sweetness of normal WKD, which is fine as a quick down, but not worth drinking ... Read the complete review

I first heard of this on a billboard at the side of the road, even from just seeing the advert I wanted to try the drink, as I quite like WKD the alcopop variety, although it tastes artificial and sugary, I like it. So when I saw this advert I was looking for it everywhere I went. The problem I had was actually locating it in the shops. Everytime I went to Tesco and Asda I looked on the shelves but could never find it, either in the alcopop part or cider part. But then after a couple of weeks, I went to a little pub down the road and they sold it and I finally got to taste it. Price; WKD Core cost me around £2.50 in the pub, this ... When I first saw the advertisements for this product I didn't hold out much hope for it, not being a fan of WKD's alcopops. As a cider drinker, however I knew I would have to try it at least once. Pouring it out of the bottle, the first thing I noticed was that it was paler than apple ciders usually are. It looked more like a pear cider but had a refreshingly crisp apple scent to it. The taste was what surprised me the most; I expected it to be sickly sweet and synthetic like an alcopop. Although this is an extremely sweet cider it is not sickly, and has quite a refreshing taste to it. There is a subtle alchoholic bite followed by and brief sour ... Read the complete review

Cider and wkd in one bottle. Doesnt sound like it works, But unbelivable it does. This refreshing drink is just fab. I first saw these on sale in my local shop and obviously just had to try one, I made sure i went back to the shop later that evening and stocked up. The taste is so refreshing and crisp. I used to drink wkd alot but getting bored of the flavours I havnt drank it for a while, so this made a great change and for just 1.79 for a big bottle (bigger than the normal size wkd bottles) I think the price is a steal. The only downisde of wkd core is that I now have to spend my money on it everytime I go to the shop, now me not being a drinker ... Read the complete review
