The ale is pleasantly warming, and although as I write this we are in the depth of a Summer heat wave, it's clear this ale would make a good winter warmer. It?s time for my weekly beer review. I am slowly working through all the British ales that Asda has to offer. After two outlandish fruit flavoured beers I have decided to go for a plainer non-flavoured beer. After enjoying Hobgoblin from the Wychwood brewery so much I decided to try another one from their delightfully named brewery, Circle Master. Circle Master does have one unusual feature. Osprey Strong and Rich ale Wychwood Brewery Overview On the front and back of the bottle it reads: "Packed full of rich, tart fruit flavours & finishing with a soaring bitterness of English Northdown and Golding hops." The alcohol content is 6.5%. The beer is brewed exclusively for Sainsbury's. Circle Master is Wychwood Brewery’s new organic ale. The beer is “…produced …in accordance with the Soil Association Certification UK5”. As with other organic ales I have tasted and reviewed in the past, there really isn’t anything about it that stands out and says “organic”. So, if you choose this beer because it is organic then it will be purely as an act of faith rather than any actual taste merit it delivers.
