I love Yazoo and often pick up a bottle on lunch at work for a nice treat.

Yazoo milkshakes are made by Campina and I have so far seen in the shops chocolate, strawberry and banana flavours.

The milkshakes come in plastic bottles which are therefore recyclable and have a paper sleeve with all the ingredients and calories etc on the back. The lids correspond with the flavour of the milkshake ie this particular one is brown in colour. It is also sealed with a foil seal which I often have to pull off using my teeth as cannot always get my hands round it!!

Yazoo is made with semi skimmed milk over 90% of the content in Yazoo is milk. Chocolate flavour Yazoo gets its chocolatey taste from fat reduced cocoa powder, plus vanilla flavouring and caramel which I did not expect to see!

You should always shake the bottle before consuming due to the fact sediment can form at the bottom so give it a good jigging about and it will even out the milkshake. This also gives it quite a few bubbles!! It is a lovely creamy milk chocolate colour.

The smell is somewhat creamy and very pleasant. Of course it smells chocolatey too which is why you bought it!!

The consistency is perfect. It is nothing like those thick drinks you can get, it is not watery either and is a happy balance. Therefore a small amount will not fill you up massively nor be too sickly at all, therefore I think perfect to drink with a meal.

The drink itself is lovely and smooth, no powdery effect to it, and tastes gorgeous, no sickly chocolatey taste it is actually quite light and enjoyable. Slightly creamy but not too creamy overall really strikes the right balance and very tasty indeed.

A 500g bottle of Yazoo gives you 70% of your recommended daily allowance of calcium and 95% of your RDA for Vitamin B12 so great to give to the little ones in lunchboxes!!!

It can be stored in the cupboard for up to 3months as it is long life milk but then needs to be kept in the fridge upon opening. I prefer to drink slightly chilled as it provides a more refreshing drink particularly in the hot summer months.

Small 200ml 4 packs are avaialble, 500ml and a litre bottles are available, the largest ones represent best value for money at about 88p. Very reasonable indeed. I have seen all varieties stocked in most supermarkets and many smaller shops so is widely available.

I give it 10 out of 10 quite happily as it is the most enjoyable milkshake going!!
