Yazoo Strawberry Flavour Milkshake

When I was hung over on last years summer holiday, Strawberry Yazoo was my saviour. A lovely, cold, sweet, strawberry tasting sugar hit sorted me out and helped me on my way to my next beverage! I still regularly drink them, so I thought I would impart a little of my Yahoo knowledge to you - their website is pretty funky too. I love Yazoo milkshake because it's nice and thin, it's not much thicker than milk but has a wicked strawberry flavour so is just as enjoyable as them thick Frijj milkshakes. Better actually because I'm not mad keen on thick milkshakes and don't think they're refreshing. The strawberry flavoured Yazoo is sweet and even though it tastes artificial it's still yummy because it tastes like sweets, the taste reminds me of the red Starburst sweets. It love the fruity strawberry flavour and think it's a proper refreshing drink. DESIGN This milkshake comes in a nice bottle with a bright red top and bright pinks, greens and blue colorings occupy the label of it. The logo yazoo is displayed quite unmistakeably in large blue writing on the front and the ingredients and information written is nicely presented on the label and very clear and easy to read. Its quite a thick bottle and easy to hold and the twist cap makes it easy to open. TASTE This milkshake is quite thick and creamy there's a strong strawberry taste too it. We have really been pigging out this weekend and milkshakes are always high on the junk food that's not really junk food agenda! I purchased a 1 litre bottle of Yazoo Strawberry Flavour Milkshake from Sainsbury's for 85p (1p cheaper than Tesco). The bottle is made of plastic with a paper label and a plastic screw top lid so the entire thing can be recycled. The label shows the usual information (calories, company information, barcode etc). The milkshake itself is a semi-skimmed milk that is flavoured with strawberry juice (1%) as well as miscellaneous other ingredients such as sugar. I'm a big, big, BIG fan of the Chocolate Yazoo drink, but after much coaxing from a friend, I finally gave the Strawberry one a try, which he deemed to, despite my skepticism, be tastier than the Chocolate one. I didn't end up agreeing with him, but that's because I'm a huge chocoholic - this is still a yummy milkshake that's not too rich but all the same rather filling. Getting the consistency of a milkshake is a fine art - they can either end up too watery, or too thick (like a McDonald's milkshake).
