I have always been a big fan of milkshakes, but they have to be just right. They can't be thick and sludgy; they must be thin and smooth and therefore cannot contain much fat. My daughter took quite a fancy to the litre bottles of strawberry milkshake that I used to buy, so I decided to purchase some Yazoo milkshake for her. I think that yazoo Is probably aimed more for a child than it would be an adult considering the packs contain 4 200ml bottles that are very well sized for lunch boxes.

The description:

The packaging for Yazoo is fairly plain; it contains a strawberry on the front of a pink box. Inside the cardboard sleeve are the 4 individual bottles of milkshake. The milkshake comes in a plastic bottle, which is also pink. The packaging and the bottles can be recycled.


The product:

One of the reason I chose the yazoo milkshake was due to the good benefits that it had compared to other shakes out there. Here are just a few:

Contains vitamin b (promotes healthy growth)
No artificial colours or sweeteners
Contains less than 5% added sugar
Low in fat
No preservatives
Suitable for vegetarians

The milkshake is made with skimmed milk making it a lot healthier option for children than a full fat version. The taste is mild yet very delicious and it really quenches your thirst unlike other shakes that seem to fill you up rather than provide a drink. This particular shake also leaves a pleasant after taste and more than one of these bottles could definitely be consumed at one time.

The cost:

I have noticed in various super markets, that these shakes are generally on offer for only a quid. If you pay full price for these, you can expect to pay £1.50. I think this is reasonable as you do get 4 bottles and I think they make a nice change from juicy drinks. I offer one to my daughter before bedtime and she enjoys the comfort of milk as well as the delicious taste. I don't have to worry that they might make her hyper, as they don't contain any of the bad ingredients.

Overall:

This is a lovely milkshake, very tasty and mild and I would definitely recommend this to milk shake lovers.
