Yorkshire Tea, made by Taylor's of Harrogate, who own the famous and wonderful Betty's Tea Rooms (six of these in Yorkshire). Yorkshire is a county that understands tea properly. My grandmother lived in York, and my father lived there until getting married, and they both revered Betty's, enjoying very much the tea that was served there. The tea bags are a generous size, and generous strength. If you just want one cup, don't use one of these, as it's easily strong enough to make two. You should be making a pot anyway, and sharing it! Yorkshire Tea's traditional blend comes from over thirty specially selected teas from three of the world's top ... Read the complete review

Yorkshire Tea is what I drink these days, so the advert tells us! And so do I! I am the type of person who enjoys a cuppa without having to fuss about with leaves and pots etc. Yep, I fling a bag in a cup and add the water! However, it is advisable to ensure that the water is boiling – otherwise you’ll get the ‘yuck’ effect face! I have tried almost all the teas available (teabags that is), Tetley, Typhoo, PG, Sainsbury’s red label, Brooke Bond D, you name and I’ve probably tried it! However, when it came to Yorkshire tea it took me a while before I decided to go for it and buy that red box sitting on ... Read the complete review

I've only recently started drinking tea and these were at my Nannan's when I stayed there last week - my mum has them too so I am reviewing her packet of Yorkshire tea in a red and green packet as they are lovely and my mum says we are being patriotic as we live in South Yorkshire! Made by Taylors of Harrogate, this 80 bag pack costs around £2 when at full price. On the front there is a picture of a teapot that asks 'The best cup of tea in Britain! Try it and see', as well as saying it's a 'deliciously rich and satisfying cup of tea' which it is :) On the back of the cardboard box there is a list of reasons why the maker think that ... Well the name gives the impression that the tea is grown in Yorkshire but I can assure you that it is not. The nearest Yorkshire comes to in terms of having some kind of world renowned crop growing status is "The Rhubarb Triangle" which is an area in West Yorkshire where rhubarb is grown extensively in the dark so that it thinks it's still underground and therefore is "forced" upwards against its will! However, this Yorkshire Tea is blended and then packaged in Yorkshire by Taylors of Harrogate who were founded back in 1886. It is black tea that's sourced from various parts of the Indian sub continent and Africa. ... Read the complete review

We love nothing better than a good cuppa and there are teabags that we buy regularly, teabags that we avoid like the plague and some that we only buy if they are on special offer. If we are having a lazy start to the day I often make a pot of tea, endless teabag dipping becomes expensive and wasteful too. I find if I warm my pot with boiling water and then add my teabags I get a good cuppa and we can have second helpings. I have often looked at the boxes of Yorkshire tea bags and that is as far as it has gone! The Yorkshire Gold teabags can be as much as £2.45 for a packet of 80. Although I fully appreciate that Bettys and Taylor of Harrogate, ... Read the complete review
