Zlaty Bazant ... Slovak brand at all. Moreover, it is the most exported or licence-produced Slovak beer. No other Slovak beer brand may be proud of more than a million hectolitres sold all over the world. Besides Slovakia, you can find it in such countries as the USA, Canada, Russia, the Ukraine, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, Moldavia, or Kazakhstan.

Zlaty Bazant is probably Slovak's most well known exported beer and whilst it's by no means the best, it's certainly not bad. Dooyoo almost makes beer drinking worth while, that is if you have one of each lol. With Zlaty Bazant that's quite tricky though, last weekend I did a bit of cycling and hiking in the Pieniny Mountains, staying in a village called Szczawnica in Poland but popping over to Slovakia most days on a decent cycle path in order to stock up on cheaper beer! It was hot and the cycling trip almost got postponed due to our first break at a pub which led to quite sufficient beer tasting and some wobbly cycling to follow.
