 ... impersonating Cilla Black. It smells of caramel and roasted hops and tastes rather similar with a hint of chocolate. It's a bit heavy on the stomach, so it could be hard to drink several in one sitting and it's probably just aswell, taking into account the likelihood of those Cilla Black impersonations! I've never met anyone with dislike for the Zywiec Porter and it's picked up rave reviews and medals in the past. I definitely recommend giving this dark sweet rich cocoa beer a go!...more

Zywiec Porter is a dark beer with tradition, dating back to 1881. Zywiec Porter being a porter in a market without any competitors gives it right of way but if it was in the same league as Polish mocne beers, it would be a step ahead of competitors. You can tell that without even opening it! The price is more expensive, the bottle is opaque and almost black and the label and bottle top add a certain amount of class to it. When poured, it's a dark muddy almost black colour (the same as the bottle) and has a sizeable brown head which looks like the froth on the top of cappucino.
