I took up drumming as a hobby a few years back. My brother was getting rid of his kit as he did not have enough room. I had a spare room so decided to adopt the kit rather than let it go to the dump. I picked up a pair of old wooden sticks a beat the hell out of the drums and boy did I love it. My one problem was that I consistently got ... Read the complete review

I, like most drummers, suffer from blisters every now and then from wooden sticks, so when I found out about ahead sticks made from aliminium I thought I would try them out. They are fantastic, they have a vibration reduction system which reduces hand fatigue meaning that you can play longer. The sticks, although long, feel well ... Read the complete review

Pretty much perfect!!! I bought the lars ulrich signature drumsticks and i am not regretting it 1 bit!!! I love the feel of them and they weren't as heavy as i was expecting them to be, seeming as they were designed for lars himself i thought they would be like twice the weight of a 2B or something, but they were closer ... DONT GO NEAR THEM!they break you cymbols, hardware and most importantly you!with normal wooden hickory sticks you get moisture in the wood meaning its bends, breaks and absorbs the shock, how ever metal does not do this all the shock and forse from the hit goes up your arm into your muscles and damages your body.if your care for your cymbols and hardware your wouldnt throw it on the floor, hitting it with metal or carbon fibre (which is just as strong if not more strong) just damages them. its fine if you have crap stuff but i dont and wont use these stick for those reasons.if your having problems its no suprice go back to wooden, hickory sticks its good for you, your sound, your body and your gear!

I've been playing drums for about 20 years, I'm 31 now, and have used Ahead sticks off and on since they've been on the market. I was impressed with the sound and feel, but kept going back to wood sticks. That was until this last year...I've been having pains in my hands and my right elbow (I play open handed with my right hand ... Read the complete review

This is Ann Droid from the group {species}DROID and Ahead Alloy Sticks saved my rocking ass!!! In early 2006 I developed a wretched case of tendonitis in my right wrist. The injury may have stemmed from practicing on a digital kit... serious shock from the striking surface! Either way, the injury caused me to 'def leppard' it on my ... Read the complete review

I've been using these sticks on and off for over six years now. They seemed heavy to me when i first got them, but compared to my Thomas Lang ones they are cocktail sticks. I'm a hard hitter and have never broken a pair in six years, i have changed the tips twice and the sleeves 4 times, the sleeves cost about £2.50 a pair from my ... Read the complete review
