Advantages: it is a good snare drum

Disadvantages: it is a wonderful snare drum

The Tama LU1465 signature snare drum is good for any type of music like rock, heavy metal, blues etc. But the best type of music it is for is heavy metal/thrash metal i think the snare drum has a lot of texture i like the design the and the sound and if you like metallica or play metallica songs it would be good for you but it would be good if the LU1465 has the Resonant Sound Edge R.S.E. now the Resonant Sound Edge is a unique bearing edge created by bending the shell's edge completely over into the shell, then welding it to the inner wall of the drum, forming an air chamber. This featue adds enhanced resonance to the drum's natural frequency range, thus creating additional tone and body.
Thats if it had the Resonant Sound Edge but don't let that stop you getting it because it sounds better than some of the Resonant Sound Edge so if i was go get it.
