Tevion DVD 2002 ... lets get something straight before I crack on with this review. The old cliche of you get what you pay for has never been more appropriate than when applied to a budget generic brand dvd player and, boy, this certainly rings true with this player. First thoughts then. Well, to be frank, it looks pretty grim. The only place you would want this is in the spare room. Black, cluncky and cheap looking, this player should NOT be found perching next to your state of the art HD ready plasma screen. DK Digital DVD-500 ... ve wanted a DVD player that was capable of playing DivX files for a while because of all my anime and por...errr....other video files..., but the players cost more than normal DVD players so resisted for a while. I ve seen brands such as KISS and Yamada but later came across this DK Digital DVD-500 DivX DVD player after the prices have dropped. It only cost £41.98 (61.52 Euros) from SVP Communications (AKA Blank Disc Shop). -= The Player =- The player looks sleek with a black and silver design. JVC XV N412 ... can I say? This DVD player works with almost all the known-format too! However, the buttons on the remote control are not so user friendly for a beginner. You may need the user manual to help you. Don t get me wrong, you ll get use to the RC very soon. Without the RC, the player is almost out of control! So, you need to master the RC too. I switch the player on for long hours and I m amazed. It keeps on playing without any problem. Overheating? Well, stop the player after 10 hours. Any gadget will be heated in such a long rally.
