johnpeter50 Microsoft Xbox 360 HD DVD: ... Finally, the joys of high definition content can be experienced by all within the UK thanks to Microsoft’s latest development; the Xbox 360 HD-DVD drive has taken more than twelve months of development time and over four million lines of code to make it to market, but will all that effort be enough to make us want to, “buy, buy, buy”? WHAT’S IN THE BOX? The contents are neatly housed inside a white card...

imsooosickofu Yamada DVDSlim-5520
... purchased this dvd player along with the Yamada home cinema system of the internet a while back. I wasn t expecting a great deal from it judging by its price but i thought it was good value overall. Its a bit larger than some modern DVD players and doesn t look particularly attractive but the picture and sound quality are really good. The best thing about this player i feel is the fact that it will play anything you stick in it, all DVD/R s RW s etc etc where other players pick and choose if they ll play a certain DVDR this one always does....

Dale+Barker Sony DVP NS92V/B

The upscaling definitely works and is an improvement over earlier players from other manufacturers like Samsung. I would definitely recommend this player to any prospective buyers as a serious consideration....

The DP-558 promises a lot - networked device, CD, DVD, DivX player, hard disk recorder, online EPG, remote scheduling and recording, web radio, the list goes on. It s unfortunate then that a device with so much promise fails to deliver on so many fronts. As a hard disc recorder it is second to none. Recording in VOB format the quality is superb, though this can be set in the options to vary the quality and thus the space required. This though is an unusual feature as VOB MPEG2 format is the most space consuming format of all and why MPEG4 was not chos...
