Proline 2000 DVD ... bought this player based on the recommendations on dooyoo! I've had it about a month now, cost £130 from Comet. It's cheap and cheerful - I decided not to spend big money on a player right now as I'll save it for when a decent-priced DVD recorder comes out. Comet supplied 3 free DVDs with it, you do NOT get to choose. We got The Perfect Storm, Gossip and a Friends disc. Easy to connect - plug in and then connect a SCART lead from the player to the TV. Pah. I like a challenge!! What's this plug-and-play nonsense? ;) Two gripes about it, both fairly minor - when playing DVDs it makes a clicking noise. I don't know what's causin... Proline 2000 DVD ... at my budget in the last few months I was not really up for buying a DVD, that is until I went to the Comet factory outlet and got the Proline DVD for........wait for it £69. I had to rub my eyes but its true £69. Now it was an ex display but there were over 10 of them, and you get 1yrs guarantee as well. Ok so on to the player itself, its nice and compact, has one scart out socket and sits nicely in my hifi and tv cabinet. Ok I was worried about it being so cheap, and I still dont have any discs so I had to borrow a few to check that I didnt have a turkey on my hands. Matsui DVD 120 ... - I should know better - especially as a Dooyoo user. I went on Saturday armed with my first ever Dooyoo payoff to purchase a DVD player. The only reason I went to Currys, apart from the knowledgable assistants, polite service, and attention to detail which only our favourite retailer could provide, was their unbeatable offer. Buy any DVD player except the Playstation2, and any full priced movie, and pick 4 free DVD films from a list. Although not spectacular, the list included: The Perfect Storm US Marshals Lethal Weapon 4 Blade Runner Romeo Must Die Batman and Robin A Perfect Murder I immediately aimed for the budget players.
