Proline 1000 DVD:
... an ex-employee of Comet plc, I can honestly say that the proline (Comet's own brand) 1000 is a throughly good enty level DVD player. It may not have the style of the higher range DVDs but then it does not fall in that price range. Pioneer DVL 91 ... this is a player made to play your DVDs CDs and your Laser Movie discs. Why would you want one with a Laser Disc? There are movies out there like “Star Wars” that was released on laser Disc and not on DVD, so if you want to have quality viewing of some movies you will have to use the Laser Disc format. The laser Disc is not gone yet! Even if the laser disc dies in a few years, remember this is also a DVD player, so you will get use out of it for years to come. Wharfedale 750 DVD ... had a wharfedale 750s for 5 months now and it is exceptional. Everything about it is practical and efficient, and any negative points are really quite insignificant. The company itself is reknown for producing high quality audio equipment, and very few manufacturers have made such an impact with their first effort. Picture-The picture quality is superb, watching in either PAL or NTSC formats. The colours are vivid, and it handles realistic fleshtones and detail with ease, as it does explosions and complex pyrotechnics. LG DVD 3200 ... the risk of repeating what other DooYoo members have already written, I have to add my name to the list of LG's 3200E DVD player. It's the first player I've owned, so perhaps I'm not in the best position to comment on how good it is compared to other players. So I won't. I will, however, point out that the 3200E produces a fantastic picture and delightful sound (when wired through my stereo), to the point where I can't see why anybody would want to pay more when quality like this is available for £170 (multi region version).
