This may appear to some as a cheap DVD player, but I assure you that it is far from it. The cost of the player is low but there is nothing 'cheap' about this product.

The Alba Slimline DVD player functions just as well as any top range DVD player, despite the low price - you can pick this up in stores for as little as £20 now, apparently. The device is also amazingly lightweight, especially considering the size - the title reads 'slimline', but I've definitely seen slimmer DVD players (this may be the only real downside to the DVD player).

The player looks fairly good design-wise - it is in a nice silver colour with (thankfully) only five buttons on the front - and it comes with the standard, easy-to-use Alba DVD remote. This remote will allow you to do as much as is possible with your DVDs/CDs in just a small few, easy to understand buttons.

The player makes no noise at all when playing DVDs, which is great for me considering the number of DVD players I've owned that make a significant din and just ruined my enjoyment of the DVDs.

And this all comes at a rather reasonable price.

What makes this DVD player (and its low price) even more remarkable is how I've never had any problems with it in the (at a rough estimate) five years it's been in my household. It still works just as well as it did when I first made the purchase and has never scratched or had problems with playing any discs. I wholly recommend the purchase of this DVD player, especially if you're on a budget.
