When the dark nights began to draw in last winter my great gran in law asked if she could borrow some of my videos as se was bored to death of watching the same ones over and over again on her long nights in, to my horror I realised we hadn't brought Nan forward with us into the age of dvd players and I no longer owned any videos so I set off to find a really simple machine that she would be able to use. The DVD player only cost me £19.99 ad can still be brought for the same price today. To be honest with you I was very shocked when I got it out the box to find it wasn't really much bigger than a portable dvd player Size H3.8, W22.5, D23.5cm.Weight ... Read the complete review

This little badboy costs £14.59 at Argos, and if all you want is a simple DVD player then you can't go wrong with it. The silver little box (22.5cm wide, 23.5cm deep, 3.8cm high) comes with a remote control, and considering the cost its relatively aesthetically pleasing. The only minor ... Read the complete review

I bought one of these last year as I wanted a basic player for the bedroom The menus were fine and i liked the options and settings that were available to me. The picture quality was acceptable and i was initially happy with this machine I did not like the very very bright red light in standby, i could not understand why it seemed to be the reverse of; light on when powered up and light off when powered off. It was not a small light and would almost act as a nite lite in our bedroom. I even found it an irritating aspect of this machine. I found that I had to unplug this machine unless I was using it. This machine worked or ... Read the complete review
