This dvd player was about a couple of years ago to replace a more expensive and compact Phillips model. The Phillips model played one dvd and then refused to play anything else and was returned. This cheaper Bush model was bought so that an aerial could also be bought with the refunded money. However, this player works like a dream. It has not played up in 10 years and plays almost every format known to disk drives; DVD-R/RW, CD-R/RW, JPEG. Therefore, the player can play music disks, home made/family movies and also, photos. When on holiday a few years ago my partner purchased this for the holiday flat, the plan was to use it till we was going home then return it and get our money back. However it was such good quality and value we decided to keep it for our spare room at home, plus i didn't fancy having to explain myself and basically lie to have a refund.
