Grundig GDV 210
by 2000andone This is a low price smooth running dvd machine, it does everything you would need from a dvd player IF you only use it to watch films. -This was writen for the Grundig GDV210(without the A) so it is a model behind but the features are roughly the same, however the overheating bug seems to have been fixed on the (A) version. It ... has all the basic features like, slow motion(in 3 speeds i think) fast motion(in 2 speeds) pause zoom, repeat or playback, search scan track forward surround sound ports mp3 compatible, dobly compatible and all that. It has nothing fancie just for your everyday needs or film watching. I have had no problems so far and have had the machine for about nine months now so im very pleased, as i only use it at tops 6 times a week i assume that it is made best for the average film watcher who just wants one for when people lend them dvd's or they buy or rent a few, and not the avid film watcher who will own many dvds and watch them over and over. Suggested for families with children, as the quality of the picture is brilliant to keep your children mesmorised, and the sound quality will captivate them so that you can just sit there without them moaning in your ear. I paid roughly £200 for the player and i beleive that it is priced at about £149 now, so at that price it is a crude investment for the family and keeps your house up with the technology and doesnt take your bank down with it. Its a real runner... But my question is, what is going to come next? films on cartrages like the nintendo64 games even faster and possibly better quality who knows. Read the complete review |

Grundig GDV 210
by davesy I have had a 210 for around 18 months now and have only had a few problems with it. (1) was that it didn't play the matrix, something about the bios chip, but that has been sorted and (2) it doesn't play RCE encoded dvd's, it didn't play Gladiator Disk 2, after calling Columbia Tristar I found that they were offering a ... service to replace the disks with new encoded versions, the disk now works!!. The RCE factor is a problem considering you can make the 210 multi-region!! For the multi-region'ness check out www.dvd-reviewer.co.uk, up to date information on all dvd's hardware and software Read the complete review |

Grundig GDV 210
by jonah_88 This is my first time, using DVD's that is. This was written when i first bought the dvd player (my views have since changed)-The Grundig DVD player has amazed me by its outstanding quality in both picture and sound, both have come across excellently over my terribly rubbish television, which normally wouldn't have a ... very visible picture. I have had this Dvd player for a few months now, without the slightest glitch. The Grundig DVD player comes at a very respectiful price of only £179.00 from Curry's (if possible go somewhere else to get it, they'll try and sell you things you don't need, well that is another opinion for later) The player has a variety of functions, including zoom(just incase lads you can't quite see enough of what you want from that porn movie). So far I have had no problems with any of the DVD's that are supposed to be tricky on some DVD players. If you don't know much about DVD players, then well as far as a know this is the best deal you are going to get. -now in reality after having time to look at, and use it properly i discovered that the dvd player is not upgradable or hackable so to upgrade it to a multi-region player. If you are going to go out and get a dvd player then i suggest that you go get a better one that either already is a multiplayer or one that can be upgraded, and there are cheaper models than this one now, and better.
