Disadvantages: none

----Introduction + basics ----

Nowadays DVD players are so cheap and so highstore retailers like Currys or Dixons are taking the old VHS players of the shelves and putting better DVD players on. JVC are a company that are cheap and cheerful and this DVD player is no different. We bought the DVD player for £35 about one year ago (and that was cheap then) and now there has been apsaloutly no problem. The DVD player is very nice looking and is slimline (which means it is just about 2 inches in height.

----The Features That It Has Got----

The DVD player has numerous features but one thing I would like on it is a recorder....
It has:

o MP3 Playback - If you download music of the internet (legally I hope) or if you upload songs from a CD and convert them to MP3 then you can fit about 100 mp3's on a Software CD and play them back on the DVD play

o DVDR/RW - CD R /RW - To most people all that will luck like double dutch well......it isnt. On a computer you can have vidio files so you can put them on a DVD (DVD R) and play them on your DVD player. A DVD/RW is basically a DVD that you can write over and over again on. If you havnt got a DVD player dont worry! Because CD R is a VCD which you can make with a CD burner.

o JPEG playback - When you are on holiday and you take all those great holiday snaps then if you put them on your computer then you can make a CD so the DVD player will play as a slideshow. (now isnt that clever?)

----The technical Bits----

On the back of the DVD player it has a scart lead (obviously) Audio And Digital Out (these allow you to watch the DVD with bigger speakers or bigger or more televisions. The quality with this is alright but is a little worse than the actual one. The Video signal selector and a AV link that allowes you to hook up the DVD player to the computer (and if you had a DVD recoreder then you could record your video from the PC straight onto a DVD.) And it also has a S-video lead out.

-----Others----
The DVD player in general looks very good. And it has the standard buttons like Eject/ On/Off/ standby/ Stop/Play/Pause and scene changer.

----The Remote Control----

As with most electrical devices it comes with an remote control. The remote control has the buttons :Number Keys, On/Off, Menu Navagation buttons, Angle, Zoom, Audio and subtitles and a few others.

----Conclusion----

So all in all I think that this DVD player is a good buy for under £30 if you see it for over £30 then I don't reccomend you buy it. #If you are a serious DVD watcher then I reccomend you buy a better one than this but if you just watch the occasional DVD (like me) then I suggest this DVD player is the right one for you.

If anyone has any comments on how to improve this or any of my other reviews please tell me in the comments.
