Advantages: looks, decoder, remote
Disadvantages: temperature , qualty with damaged disc
this is jet another quality product from JVC. it not only reads dvd video, dvd film, mp3. jpeg discs, cd. It also reads dvd-r, dvd-+.
The looks are good , it is a sliver slim line dvd player, with 1 optical output, 1 coaxial digital output, stereo out, s-vhs video out, scart (rgb or Yuv) . the picture quality is good as might be expected from JVC. the sound qulity is excellent, it can decode dts, prologic, dolby digital not only digital but also analogue.
what i have noticed that this dvd player even reads damaged discs. the layer switching is good on good qualty media and fair on damaged discs (like the ones from a videothek.)
the remopte is excellent, it has all the functions you need, and it can be used long since battery life is high ( i still use the original batteries and i use it quite often, wich comes to 1 or 2 dvd's a week.
the build quality is good, but it can be a good idea to use extend waranty. since my dvd player after 1 1/2 year intensive use had to be repaired.
due to this point i would rate teh quality of this product good , ( i would have given it a very good if it did not mailfunctioned.
the overall quality is good, the dvd has a low power consumption, but it tends to get hot when used a long time ( 3 dvd's a day)
i can recoomend this product very much
