i purchased the LG-DVD-2330P when it was first released,i have had no problems with it playing any region 2 disks.which some people seem to have had.the player itself has features which work better than some of the high end DVD players which can cost up-to £400.the sound is very good as is the picture, the menu & zoom feature are also very good.LG might be one of the cheeper brands on the market, but is well worth buying.i have a £1300 sound system & the LG DVD 2330P was the cheapest adition to my home cinema, ... I was looking for a low-end DVD player to get me into the world of DVD. The 2330P seems to have been a good buy, with all of the features found on a high-end player, such as picture zoom, repeat, random, markers, pause, slow and search. The remote is a little chunky, but as there are a heck of a lot of buttons, I guess that's the trade-off. According to a search on Usenet after I'd bought it, there was a problem playing The Matrix on early models of this machine, and it also seems to be expensive if you need to 'chip' this machine for use with Region 1 disks. This machine does everything I want from a DVD player, and the picture ... Read the complete review

...But this product deffinately deserves a look. LG seems to be developing itself as a company providing both quality and cheap products a quality rather unusual in the electronic industry from my experiences. Well now i have had a rant i'll tell you about the player. Well its the only DVD player i have ever had but i cant see me wishing to change my less known choice. It is loaded with features, infact they where almost spilling out of the box the day i received it. The control is marvellous. You can tune it up so the control will also act as a control for your other electronic infared devices e.g TV, Video. For the more lazier of you this might be an ... Read the complete review

LG sounds as if they might be one of those cheaper brands that is exclusively available though a catalogue company or the electricity board shop, but they are not. LG used to be called Goldstar and they are a big company from Asia, in the same vein as Daewoo or Mitisibushi. What you get with this player is a nice piece of equipment. It plays DVD & CD Audio discs (obviously), and has DTS digital out, Dolby Digital Stereo, MPEG Multichannel and Spatializer, whatever all that means. All I know is it cost me around the £200 mark and it performs really well when connected to my Toshiba TV using SCART. The remote control is large and well laid out. It is easy ... I usually only go for well known brand names when purchasing electrical items,so it is unusual for me to be associated with one less known. A cheap, well built, good quality machine that does its job more than adequately. An excellent choice. Picture quality is good and so is the sound. With the DVD market still not sure road it will take in the long run as far as formats are concerned, this is a good way of experiencing the technology without burning a hole in your pocket. I think so anyway!! ... Read the complete review
