Advantages: Price, Great picture and sound, Good looking

Disadvantages: Minor niggles mentioned above

At the risk of repeating what other DooYoo members have already written, I have to add my name to the list of LG's 3200E DVD player. It's the first player I've owned, so perhaps I'm not in the best position to comment on how good it is compared to other players. So I won't. I will, however, point out that the 3200E produces a fantastic picture and delightful sound (when wired through my stereo), to the point where I can't see why anybody would want to pay more when quality like this is available for £170 (multi region version).

Problems? Again, I make no excuses for mentioning problems which affect all players - this is my first, so I'm simply calling it as I see it. The discs take a very long time to start up, once inserted; you can expect a good 10-15 second wait before seeing any picture.

A major issue I've encountered is that of keeping my place on a disc if I need to stop it. Pressing 'play' after stopping a disc resumes from where you left off - perfect, but if you leave the player unoccupied for a few minutes, it turns itself off, thereby losing your position. You then have to spend five minutes fast forwarding through the disc chapters until you find your place. Very annoying!

I've tried to bring to light a few things other members haven't already mentioned, but essentially you won't be disappointed with the 3200E. It's great value for money, well built, and it does all you'd expect from a good DVD player.
