I recent took a trip to honk kong and managed to pick this portable DVD for £300 which is a bargin compared to the £800 you would pay here. So why did i buy it? Well besides me looking really cool and trendy by having the newest technology in my back pocket, it comes in useful. I am a farmers son and that often means long days in the fields. At lunch time there is nothing better than sitting back watching the latest dvd or vcd, or listening to a cd So what features does it have? *It plays VCD's DVD's Cd's It is also multi regioned so you can play latest releases from the US. *A wonderful 5'' screen which is very sharpe and not affected by the glare of the sun. *Built in vitual surrond sound which does'nt really work well in a tractor. Outports so it can be pluged straight in to your tv. It also uses dolby digial 5.5 so you can put an digital amp onto it and have a 6 speaker system, or just use the normal tv speakers! But the feautre i love most is the remote control which is great for when it is plugged into the tv at home Overall if the price was cheaper over here i would recommend that every body should have one.
This is truly a great buy. Probably my top purchase, value wise, of the year. Anywhere I am in a set position, instead of getting out my discman, I now get out my Panasonic Portable DVD. It draws attention also, like when waiting for a flight. One man asked me, what is that thing? I said its a portable DVD player. He said, You can watch movies on that thing, I said, yes. He said when I return home, I'm going ot buy one of those things. No matter the age, whether middle aged, like the man in the terminal or a teenager, this is truly portable entertainment at its finest. I love my portable DVD player. You will love yours also.
OK so the idea is great - watch digital quality movies on the go. But come on, aint this a bit much? It looks so cool. Excellant features, good quality picture, but what about the battery life? It is as bad as you expect - well, maybe a bit better, but not much! I would be worried taking it out the house as it is such a nickable piece of equipment! Best bet is keep it at home - in which case, it might be wise to get a proper player that hooks up easily to your TV (though this one does too).
