Advantages: Easy to use, Stylish
Disadvantages: None!
This is a short review of the Philips DVD723. After a lot of researching I bought the Philips DVD723 DVD player for Christmas 2002. I have never had any problems with it! It has played all of my DVDs to a superb standard! The DVD player is cheap and stylish. It has all the functions of most DVD players and is very easy to use. The remote is the same for most Philips machines which is self explanatory as each button is clearly labelled. The only buttons you may confuse are the fast forward/rewind with the chapter forward/back. You will soon be aware of which is which. The sound quality is crisp and the picture quality is also of the same, high standard. The product is also able to play CD's and other media which I haven?t got round to yet. The machine itself is very sturdy and solid. Philips have not built a flimsy product and lowered the price, they have built a sturdy block which is capable of taking quite a bit of weight. Nothing rattles around inside when it is shaken and everything is secured and fits in place well. The DVD player is easy to install and I didn't need the instructions to do so. When connected up it automatically sets the default channel for use when watching DVD's which in my case is Ext-2 (I think). Overall the product is brilliant for its size, price and the features on offer. Defiantly the best in its price range on offer.
