DVDs are surely, taking over. DVD Recorders are surely a step in the right direction -moving away from the drone, and irritating dull quality that we have been used to for the past 20 years. The Philips DVDR980 is just one of these new innovations, and as I have experienced, is one of the better ones on the market at the moment, reasonably priced to as low as £480. superb recording, re-recordable superb quality, re-re-recordable superb quality!!! long manualPhil!Philips aren't very helpful

Price - pay less for a good brand name and a reliable player nothing! - Great if you could attach more speakers to it!

can upscale to 1080p, can zoom into movies, has HDMI connection, rather cheap! not a lot of buttons on the DVD player (so could be in trouble if you lose the remote)
