Advantages: a great basic dvd player
Disadvantages: no blue ray
While these days more and more people download their movies online, we still enjoy your simple DVD player. We still like to rent actual DVDs from the local rental shop and there is almost nothing better than a great movie night.
The DVD player feels very light and is black in color with silver edges. It has a very good design. At the front you can see the display and far left is the light that indicates whether the DVD player is on or standby. At the right of the display are the buttons for play forward and backward. At the back you have the power plug and the HMDI cable. The cable is not included. With the DVD player you do get a remote and two batteries. Also you get a manual.
The remote is handy. It is small, flat and black. 5cm wide and 15 cm long. On the remote control all the basic buttons you would expect such as pause, play and stop etc are there. In addition there is also the buttons for zoom out, repeat, mute, slow playback, setup and more.
Setting up was very easy, unpacking the box, putting the cables in and the batteries in the remote.
You can change the language settings and sound settings. The brightness of the colors you can set subtitles on and off. Only when this is done you can put a DVD in the player. You do that and the LED display indicates that he is loading the DVD. On TV you see this too. And then picture appears on your TV.
It has No Blue ray and no recording capability. It does have a superb pictures and sound. It's no device with luxury features but we bought this DVD player for around 80 pounds so we didn't really expect anything fancy.
