Advantages: A good image size and quality

Disadvantages: The sound is average

It is very complete set that with plug and play and an excellent design. DVB reception at home isn't that well. The image size and the image quality are very good. The sound is neat but not overwhelming.
It is an ideal set for the globetrotter to enjoy from non-subscription channels and watch a movie. I also bought the new Lenco TFT 711, but the Philips PET835 is much better!
I'm very pleased with this set and its price / quality ratio (despite the fact that they used a beautiful but rather fragile plastic)!

A warning for potential buyers: the photos are distorted. 4:3 photos will be stretched to 16:9, 2:3 pictures are also stretched and this means that they aren't in any way screen-filling. Even 16:9 photos are distorted. I mailed to the support department of Philips and they said that I was right about the distortion of the photos.
