Philips DVP3264: ... this machine is amazing for the price. God knows how is has managed to read some of my DVD s that are so scratched! This machine does not over heat (ever!) which is so refreshing compared to most modern/new DVD players that are coming out. 	Philips DVD 729 ... you can rotate photos, zoom in, display thumbnails, flip pictures and scan them by different effects. It is very easy to set up and use the DVD player. It has one scart socket in the back as well as coxial, video and optical leads. The instruction manual shows pictures of how to connect each cord and it is very easy to understand. I have never had any problems with this model and feel that the Philips brand name is very trustworthy. I have since chosen to upgrade most of my electronic equpiment with Philips products as I have enjoyed using this model so much! I would say that this is a great starter DVD for a young person. 	Philips PET716 ... this a while back and quite pleased with it. I would recommend shopping around if you want to buy this as there is a huge variety in price, I got it for around 50 pounds. It can play alot more that DVDs, something that I was quite impressed with. You can play DVD, DVD+/-R and DVD+/-RW, VCD, DivX and MPEG4 movies. It is also capable of playing music and Plays MP3-CD, CD and CD-RW. However, I tend to use it more as a DVD player as there are much better, and smaller, devices for music. The quality is quite good, and the player has an LCD display. The screen size is only 7" but considering you very rarely watch movies on it from more than a metre away from your f... 	Philips PET835 ... is very complete set that with plug and play and an excellent design. DVB reception at home isn t that well. The image size and the image quality are very good. The sound is neat but not overwhelming. It is an ideal set for the globetrotter to enjoy from non-subscription channels and watch a movie. I also bought the new Lenco TFT 711, but the Philips PET835 is much better! I m very pleased with this set and its price / quality ratio (despite the fact that they used a beautiful but rather fragile plastic)!
