This player is DivX Ultra certified, which means that you can enjoy the highest quality possible from compressed files. The 600AV-K has an HDMI output with 1080p upscaling, ensuring that what you see is of the highest possible quality, regardless of the source.

In addition, the 600AV-K has Virtual Surround Sound, which enables radio or TV programs that are broadcast in mono or stereo to be played back in full 5.1-channel surround sound, you don't need an additional amplifier to create the surround experience.

It is possible to play mp3 with variate compression eventhough it is written in manual that it is impossible. Pioneer DV-600AV was interesting for me because it has possibility to play DVD-Audio and SACD and it has got integrated decoder with analog output for 5.1. Extra interesting is the quality of sound which some DVD players are having bad quality. Quality of sound was pretty good with nice serve of acustic which i wasnt able to heat on my older players. I/O Back side includes HDMI, component Video, S-video, audio 5.1, scart, optic and koaxial output.On the front panel is placed conector USB 1.1 for USB devices.
