Advantages: one of the best lower budget players
Disadvantages: none really
This magnificent piece of home entertainment kit is an absolutely amazing Multi-regional DVD player that is available for around £250. It is fully upgraded with PAL/NTSC capability. It has all the usual features such as Dolby Digital, DTS, Twin Wave Laser Pickup etc. The picture is of an absolutely amazing quality and is extremely sharp and clear mainly due to some great system features: - Automatic Jitter Adjustment, which ensures increased tracing stability providing a super-accurate data signal reading, Viterbi RF Decoding Process which greatly improves data reading error correction caused by dirt/dust/fingerprints on discs. Block Filter, which diffuses digital noise so it only works on the noisy part of the picture, increasing player efficiency. Horizontal Sharpness controlled by a circuit that will enhance horizontal colours which defines the very small picture details providing an even sharper image. The audio capability of the player is excellent incorporating Dolby Digital with Virtual Dolby Surround to create an amazing effect that surrounds in ?an envelope of dynamic, realistic sound?. The player also offers ?Hi-Bit Legato Link Conversion?, a unique piece of technology that creates the expansion and general presence of a sound to make it much more realistic to its original production. The remote control unit is well designed with a good button layout; it can also be used to control other Pioneer audio and video units as well. The player will speak in most languages and will allow up to 8 soundtracks and 32 sets of subtitles, so you can watch the film in any language that it was recorded in. It also offers 9 different viewing angles so you can view concerts, sports events etc from many different perspectives. This is an excellent lower budget DVD player which is another feather in the cap of a long line of Pioneer DVD players that seem to be consistently excellent valu
e and quality from one end of the DVD market to the other. Its definitely worth checking this player out if you are looking for a player around the £250 - £300 mark.
