Best I Have EVER Bought (Proline 2000 DVD)

Around the time of XMas 2000, I really wanted a DVD Player. I decided to go out and buy one on the 26th, so of I went to Comet. The cheapest one I could find was the ProLine DVD2000 for £159. I thought should I wait or go ahead and buy it. Well, I bought it and also bought a DVD film to go with it. I eventually got home and set it up. I played my DVD Film with no problems and decided i was going to aim for the biggest collection of DVD Films.

Now, onto the DVD Player. It is a stylish silver colour looking DVD with a excellent remote control. It plays original DVDs and Audio CDs, with no compatibility for CD-R/RW, VCD, or MP3. The On-Screen menu is very good, and the LCD display shows the standard information.(Time, Scene, Title, etc.)

I have bought a total of about 25 DVDs, and only 3 did not work. I think
I know why they did not work, which is because on the disc, there is a code (e.g. D1XXXXXXXX) and all of the discs that work on the ProLine DVD2000 start with D1, and one that did not work started with D3.

When I played Charlie's Angels, the DVD Player Locked Up(Crashed, Paused, etc.) and I had to switch it off via the plug. The positive thing about this is that it has never happened on any other DVD I have played.

The Support for this product however, I am not at all happy with. Although it is not legally neccessary to have a website, I was unable to find a website for the manuufacturer of this product.

Overall, I feel that this is the best DVD player I have bought, and although it is the only one, it has satisfied me for what I wanted to do. It does not have features of other DVD players i could have bought if I waited a couple more months.
