I bought this player after seeing it in the shops and because I wanted to try out the 1080p on my TV. For starters, this is a big player. It's probably twice as tall as conventional DVD players. It feels well built and solidly put together. So far (after 2 months of ownership) I've had no reliability issues. Standard DVD playback is better than with a normal DVD player due to the upscaling (where it upscales standard 480p DVD into 1080p).
