Advantages: Portable, Compact, Looks damn good!
Disadvantages: Not Multi-Region
Small is beautiful! Why buy a big old bulky DVD player that takes up acres of space when you can buy this little fella for the same price ( or possibly less ). Its got all the standard functions ( PAL/NTSC Playback of DVD Video, Audio CD, Video CD, Dual Discrete optical pick-up, Advanced smooth scan, Ultra slim design, Built in battery charger, SRS headphone surround - same as the Sony DVP-FX1 ), the picture is fantastic and it has the ability to hook up to your amp for that all important surround sound. Surprise, Surprise as the name suggests its portable - just plug n play it couldn't be easier. This model does not have a screen, but is it really necessary? What's the point in paying double for a six inch screen that will hardly get used....I've heard that the battery pack is approx the same price as this unit anyway. The only downside is that its not multi-region ( it only plays region 2 - Europe and Japan ), however this can be easily rectified!
