I spent quite a while searching for a DVD player that was different from the normal ones you see,and this little baby i just had to have.Playback quality is excellent and as it is DTS as well as 5.1 you really get that you could be there feeling when you hook it up to a surround sound system.
It appears to play just about any format you choose,including mp3 and VCD which is handy if your into creating your own music cd`s,or if you have the ability to put your home movies on cd.
The manual is comprehensive and easy to follow ensuring swift installation,and the on screen set up itself is not only mullti-lingual(Approx 150 Languages) but very user friendly.
You can set different surround sound options,including a night time one,handy if you don`t want to upset your neighbours,it also has a dynamic and wide mode,good for those without separate surround sound set up.
The Parental control function is excellent,the custom function allows you to set in up to 50 disc titles,each one having different restrictions,such as PG or 18 etc,the player then cuts unsuitable scenes out.
If you want a compact,nice looking fully functional DVD player this is the baby for you,and its a good price as well,i paid 350 but have seen them for 250,7 months down the line.
