Advantages: easy to use, amazing battery life

Disadvantages: to many options

I got the Sony DVP FX850B for my 18th Birthday as a present from my parents and since then it has traveled to many parts of the world and has lasted ever since. The DVP FX850B is more expensive than other portable DVD players available on the market however the price makes up for the excellent lifetime of battery and picture quality. The normal lifetime of a portable DVD player is on average 3 to 4 hours but the Sony FX850B has a lifetime of up to 6 hours, it lasted longer on several occasions. This lifetime makes it great to bring it on long flights where there is no in-flight entertainment screen available. It is able to play every disc I have tried so far including several fake ones. The DVD player does not support blue ray although you don't need to worry about that to much as the screen quality is excellent. The Sony DVP FX850B comes with a cover which is useful as you can but it in the seat in front of you in your car, or put it on the seat in-front of you on a plane. This saves your lap from getting too tired. You can move the screen almost 180 degrees and you can move the screen further away form you or closer.

~~~The Good sites~~~
The Sony DVP FX850B is easy to set up and as you just press 1 or 2 buttons and you're off. The picture quality is excellent and so is the sound. The DVD player has a twin headphone port so you and a friend can listen at the same time without the need to share your headphones. The remote control allows full access to every option and is easy to use and you don't have to move. It has a much better quality than other portable DVD players on the market.
~~~The Down sites~~~
The DVD player has too many options which could be fairly easy to use however the handbook is to thick and requires some time to go true which most of us don't have or cant be bothered to do. Sony's DVD player is more expensive than the others however you get good quality. The speaker sound is too soft and won't be heard if you're on a plane so headphones are required.

~~~Price~~~
The price is higher than other DVD players and ranges between 122,98 pounds on Tesco direct and 193,95 pounds on amazone.co.uk. I would recommend this DVD player as there is more quality for your money.
