If you have hundreds of standard DVDs then get this player to increase their quality!

If you have a lot of "old" DVDs - i.e. not Blu-ray DVDs, then look no further for getting the best out of them with this Sony DVD player. I have several hundred DVDs and have recently bought a Blu-Ray player. I was so impressed with the resolution that I investigated the up-scaling DVD player market and this DVD player came out top of the list.
Now I have it I must say its excellent, the quality of picture it produces from normal DVDs is nearly as good as Blu-Rays produce. In one way, I would recommend getting this and buying cheaper standard DVDs than Blu-Ray. The sound quality, played through a Sony stereo set-up is also awesome and I use it to play CDs.
Feature wise it is action packed - it will play just about any standard definition DVD going, plus all older CDs etc. It remembers where you were on DVDs when you eject, has fast forward of varying speeds (similar to Sky plus) and various zoom features. All-in-all an excellent product at a good price considering the manufacturer.
