      Outstanding

Outstanding player from Sony delivering optimum picture quality and great sound. I own this model in Silver and it is well matched with my Sony 40" LCD V series TV. The HDMI interface is a welcome addition and helps to produce the results seen from this player. The upscaling definitely works and is an improvement over earlier players from other manufacturers like Samsung. I would definitely recommend this player to any prospective buyers as a serious consideration.

Unbeatable picture and sound quality come together in the DVP-NS92V, the latest addition to Sony's range of DVD Players. Among the new features is HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) output, which provides an entirely digital output via one single cable, for a quick and tidy connection to a TV or an AV receiver.

Digital upscaling to 1280x720p/1920x1080i optimizes picture quality by reproducing the DVD image to a higher resolution than standard definition, in output. An advanced Sony algorithm dynamically calculates the necessary adjustments to the image in upscaling, resulting in fantastic image clarity, detail and color.

The Audio experience achieved with the DVP-NS92V is equally as impressive with the superb Multichannel Surround Sound delivered through playback of the Super Audio CD format. The quality of sound is not only better but the experience is like being in a concert hall, as you hear individual instruments like never before.

Precision Cinema Progressive design has the processing power to deliver fluid progressive-scan video on every DVD. This feature detects whether objects on the screen are moving, and by how much, and processes each pixel to the appropriate measure. The results are superb video images that give sharpness to both still and fast moving objects alike and jagged edges on diagonal lines are virtually eliminated thanks to V-Edge Compensation.
