Digital upscaling to 1280x720p/1920x1080i optimizes picture quality by reproducing the DVD image to a higher resolution than standard definition, in output. An advanced Sony algorithm dynamically calculates the necessary adjustments to the image in upscaling, resulting in fantastic image clarity, detail and color.

The Audio experience achieved with the DVP-NS92V is equally as impressive with the superb Multichannel Surround Sound delivered through playback of the Super Audio CD format. Precision Cinema Progressive design has the processing power to deliver fluid progressive-scan video on every DVD. This feature detects whether objects on the screen are moving, and by how much, and processes each pixel to the appropriate measure. The results are superb video images that give sharpness to both still and fast moving objects alike and jagged edges on diagonal lines are virtually eliminated thanks to V-Edge Compensation.
