Advantages: Good value for money.

Disadvantages: No dolby digital decoder

This is a solid Sony DVD player. I bought mine just over 1 year ago (I think...). The picture quality is superb and it is simple to use. I have read that the picture quality is not as good as more expensive models but I think they are the same. It does not have a built-in Doby digital decoder, so you'll have to decode it thru' your dolby digital amp or dedicated decoder. Overall, this is a fine DVD player. A true Sony product.
