Advantages: Good value, good quality product from a name I can trust

Disadvantages: Does not make very good toast! but seriously very little to fault for the price!

Wow what a load of dvd players there are on the market! How do you choose which one to buy? Making a decision was really hard when you stand in the store next to the 16-year-old who operates the machine like he's a pilot for NASA. I must admit Sony was the machine I made a beeline for. I already have a sony cinema system for the Tv and call me a coward...Go on. It just makes sense to have a machine from the same manufacturer. Let's face it you could spend as much as your wallet will allow on a DVD player but to be honest I was happy that I had bought somewhere in the middle of the range. Yes there were a few discs thrown in with it and yes there was a credit option in the store but the main thing that sold it to me was the remote controller. I love Sony remotes! They are so push button friendly! My coffee table now has about seven or eight controllers for the devices in my lounge. Four belong to Sony products and are by far and away the most attractive, easy to operate and fun( yes I said fun) to use. As for the sound, picture quality etc of DVD I am already a convert. No I said i won't buy one but after an afternoon at a friends house I was convinced that this was a format I could appreciate and this is the machine that I chose to start that great adventure with....I'd put two big thumbs up if they weren't so busy operating my remotes! Happy Days!
