I was concerned about buying a DVD player after reading all the reviews about problems and incompatibility, but this player has shown no signs of malfunctioning whatsoever. I don't know of another player that offers so much value, but this DVD player is worth the money. I know £399 is quite expensive, but you get what you pay for so buy the best. This unit is very easy to use, and presents an outstanding picture. The remote control is easy to use and has all DVD controls available, were some DVD players don’t. It is slightly softer than some of the other players, but I prefer a slightly softened picture to the jagged lines. The manual is easy to understand. I highly recommend this player, and it's a Sony product.
