Advantages: Formats Dolby Digital, DTS. Good DVD and CD player

Disadvantages: poor remote

I Bought this player approx. a year ago, at the time this was a very difficult item to get hold of. Once unboxed and connected up, numerous refferals to the hefty manuals and after countless hours of head-scratching, to my A-V amp, another Sony marvel(STRDB925, I sat and watched Godzilla with amazement.
The picture and sound quality were fantastic, not only with DVD's but with audio CD's as well. I had spent alot of time shopping for a good player to compliment my AV setup, but as we all know, it always seems better in the show room. This player was just as good at home.
I have also played DTS DVD's and CD's on my system and found the format to be much more superior than dolby digital.
The only gripe I have with the player is the remote commander, huge 80's style thing.
