Advantages: An all-round performance machine

Disadvantages: maybe a little on the expensive side

The DVD player is the video format of our lives and our childrens to follow. I would say that any DVD player will compete at the highest levels with your state of the art video recorders by the simple method of attacking and then punishing. What are the advantages of buying an expensive "video player" I hear you ask, well my answer would be that DVD's are the thing of the future and anybody that has not moved with the times will regret it.
The picture and sound quality of this particular player are phenomenal and does outshine many of the others that i have seen even though it is said that the difference between the best and worst DVD players on the market is extremely narrow at the moment. The colours are more vibrant, and the sound quality as crisp and any i have ever heard. Trust me it is V hard to find a fault with this player. The real advantages of the 725 are features and its compatability.
The way it is built shows quality in itself and is better than any other model in its field. Like many of Sony's machines it looks very like it can stand by itself and not look small. you are reasured at the expence of the machine and know that those extra few pounds were worth it. The drive of the player is of the highest quality that I know of and have seen as it is whispering quiet and has very quick loading up periods of movies.
If I Were to invest in a cheaper DVD player I would not live with the peace of mind that I have adopted with this machine and would of worried whether my disks would of played on my cheaper machine. In the longrun it's worth that extra bit of money for peace of mind's sake. The machine includes 2 scart socket ports which is enough. This player has a built in Dolby Digital decoder, but it can also be linked up to a seperate amplifier which you may borrow off your hifi. An allround performance machine that is built to last.
