... have really gone to town on styling with the DVP-F11. Its slender design and the slinky DVD slot see it apart from other machines. This machine is so clevely built that it stands on its side upside down basicly in any position. Its compact size gives it a solid, dense feel like it's been carved from a single solid lump of aluminium. You would expect something this small would go a bit light on the connections, but it's gone more than full-size machines. Theres a external power supply socket and subwoofer output both optical and coaxial digital audio outs. the only thing it lacks is with a scart socket. It has a picture quality which will not WOW you like that of a Panasonic model. You might as well buy a good quality one such as this and youll be able to really experience cinema quality. The colours are too bright and the mechanism is a bit noisy! (unusual for a Sony product!) The buttons on the front feel quite solid and feel like they will last if you dont press them too hard.
