	Sony DVP F 41 ... scouring the shops both online and on the high street, I decided to buy this Sony DVP-F 41 DVD player for a number of reasons. On looking at some of the cheaper models, I decided I would prefer to pay more for a much better quality product. Sony is a reliable make, this dvd player is compact, can be stored both horizontally like a traditional dvd player and also on it's side using the stand provided, much like the Sony Playstation 2, thus saving on more space. The playback quality is brilliant, and there are no problems with sound, which I have experienced with other cheaper models. 	Sony MHC S9D ... purchased one of these and within 2 months the system started making popping sounds from all speakers irrespective of the sound level set or the input selected. Since then I have been going from the supplier to the recommended sony repair shop and back with no joy. I am completely disillusioned with the Sony quality and after sales service. 	Sony DVP NS305/S ... one from the UK. www.richersounds.com for example, but I needed something sooner rather than later, so did not want to wait for the post. My first choice was a Toshiba 220, which is still one of the best DVD players available, and is highly rated by the various Audio Visual Magazines. Second was a LG model, which was also hightly rated, and had an easy region free update available. The Sony was my third choice. The Sony was the only one from my top 3 available for me in Amsterdam with a region free option. There is an electrical super store here that sells them with a region fre...
