Advantages: easy to install, cheap

Disadvantages: unreliable, fragile

I bought this DVD player a couple of years ago when I needed something quick and cheap. It was easy to get set up and didn't confuse me with a million different settings/options. It didn't feel particularly sturdy but that didn't bother me as it seemed to work fine. My mum also bought the same player a month or two later. Whereas my player still works soundly (apart from a quiet humming noise), my mother's makes a fair amount of noise when the disc is spinning and occasionally (although not that often) takes a few times of inserting a disc to recognise it is there or has any information on it. Despite this she still uses it and when a movie is on the sound/image etc is great and neither of our players have problems with skipping. I would say these players are good for a quick fix or for students but, if you want brilliant quality movies 100% of the time, this product isn't for you.

Summary: For a quick fix/students/techniphobes...DEFINITELY not for perfectionists!
