Advantages: Picture Quality, Sound Quality, Ease of use

Disadvantages: Not remote control hack to make it multi region (although not really a problem)

It is unbelievably cheap yet achieves top 5 star reviews from many sources.

Features on this player include the usuall Pause, Frame Forward e.t.c and in addition you have Zoom and a range of fast forward speed from 2X upto 32X and a few other.
You can get it to display information on what you are currently watching with respect to Audio format/Language, current Bitrate and progress. I find the player fast when accessing menu's. Friends have experienced some DVD's that will not play on there models or do play with jerky playback but I am happy to say I have never experienced any negative viewing in hundereds of films viewed, and having three children it is used most days.

Superb picture quality, sound and features.
Easy to use and in my 18 months of use have never had one problem with it.
It is about the same size as most other DVD players out there and as far as I know only available in Silver finish.
Toshiba's player are not possible to be made multi region by a remote control sequence but instead require a hardware modification.

Most places now sell it already made multiregion for you and just add a small amount onto the sale price.

I made mine multi region myself after buying a mod kit for about £15 from dvdchips. This required some soldering and although I have absolutely no previous knowledge or experience with electronics the instructions that came with the kit helped me to manage it with out melting my player.

Recently "which magazine" gave it editors choice/reviewers choice e.t.c and it came out heads above the likes of sony, panasonic e.t.c

My next DVD player is going to be a Toshiba.
