Advantages: Very clear manual, Easy connection

Disadvantages: Doesnt play all region discs

I spent a lot of time looking for a dvd player, and the reason i decided on this one was because it was recommended to me.I'm so pleased with it now though, that i will never go back to videos.

In appearence, this dvd player is slim line, light in weight and doesn't have a lot of buttons on the front.(I liked that as i don't get on with electrical gadgets too well.)

With the dvd player, you will recieve a remote control, batteries, scart lead, ariel lead and a very good instruction maual.

The remote has 45 buttons on it,which may sound scary to some people, but the instruction manual is very clearly labeled. The remote requires 2 batteries at R6 size. The buttons are for things like
*Open and close the dvd drawer
*Standby
*Rewind,fastforward and skip
*Play,stop and pause
*Camera angle
*Subtitles
*Audio

If you play a music cd on your dvd player, the remote also has function keys for
*Random play
*Repeat
*Memory
*Display
Everything that you want to do,can be done with the remote.

Connecting,i though would be a great problem.I'm not very good at this sort of thing, but it was not a problem for me.

You can connect your dvd player 3 ways.

*Using the scart lead. This is connected to the back of the dvd,in the scart opening and then into the scart opening on the back of your tv.Simple as that.

*Using the component video jacks. The wires for this run from the video out and analogue out sockets,on the back of the dvd,to the audio and video input sockets on the back of the tv.All of this is clearly shown in the manual.

*Using the phono type jacks. These run from the analogue audio out sockets,on the back of the dvd,to the video and audio input sockets,on the tv.

There is no tuning in on this dvd player.Which i found to be a big hit.You just connect it up and plug it in and a "welcome to dvd" screen appears on your tv.Now you are r
eady to settle down and watch a film.It is truely as easy as that.

Some of the features that are included are

*Dvd,vcd and cd.Depending on what you are watching. These buttons are on the remote, choose the correct one.DVD for DVDS,VCD for VIDEO CDS and CD for AUDIO CDS.

*Playing frame by frame. If you want to go back to watching normal, just press play.

*Playing in slow motion.Again,if you want to go back to normal viewing, just press play.

*Zooming. This is a great feature. You choose how close you want to zoom in.

*Changing camera angles. This is also a great feature. It can only be used though,if the film supports it.Just press angle,to view the scene from different angles.

*Subtitles.Just press subtitle during playback and there you go.

*Language. You can select a preferred language and sound system.

The manual is completely english aswell. That made me smile,i hate having to search for the English versions.

I also thought it was reasonably priced aswell.I paid £230 for it,but i do believe you can get it for about £200 now. That makes it even better value for money.

Came back ... re-read ... re-rated!

Nice to see someone taking onboard a bit of advice and updating an opinion. Keep on improving like this and one day you'll get your mits on a nice shiny piece of gold head gear...

Welcome. Your op was ok, but a little more info would help. Also, if you use paragraphs the reader would find it more eye catching.
